Call for Posters: Women's Health Research Symposium

The Faculty of Health Sciences and the Women’s Health Research Institute (WHRI) are hosting their 1st Women’s Health Research Symposium. The theme for the symposium is "Examining Diversity Across Disciplines, Decades, And Distances".

Call for Posters

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are invited to present a poster on their work related to women's health research. Two cash prizes of $200 each will be awarded to the best poster presented by a Master's student, and by a PhD Student or postdoctoral fellow. Posters should be no larger than 48" x 36". To register a poster presentation, please submit to Ama Kyeremeh, Symposium Coordinator ( by Wednesday October 18 , 2017 at 5:00PM.

Presenters are invited to attend the free breakfast for trainees and talk with Dr. Joy Johnson about Charting a Successful Research Career (7:15-8:00am), and encouraged to set up their posters by 8:00am.

Date: Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 
Time: 8:00am-1:30pm (including refreshments and a networking lunch) 
Location: Diamond Alumni Centre, SFU Burnaby
RSVP: on Eventbrite by October 18th, 2017

There will be a keynote presentation by Dr. Joy Johnson, followed by three moderated panel discussions. The symposium will also include a networking lunch for all attendees (12:30-1:30pm).
