Job Posting: Associate and Assistant Professor Positions at the National Institute of Informatics (Japan)

The National Institute of Informatics, Research Organization of Information and Systems (Tokyo, Japan) is currently hiring for several Associate and Assistant Professor positions. 

The expected position start date is April 1, 2019, with a 5-year tenure and the possibility of a 5-year extension.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have sufficient ability and experience to engage in original, progressive research and to develop information systems and new concepts in their chosen field.

In principle, applicants should hold or expect to hold a doctoral degree by the appointment date. An equivalent qualification in the fields of philosophy, humanities, or social sciences is also acceptable.

The preferred research topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Principles of Informatics
  • Information Systems Architecture
  • Digital Content and Media Sciences
  • Information, Society and Humanity
