I am from Minnesota, USA. Like the outdoors for hiking and camping. Geology, Ecology, and Land Management interest me.

Why did you choose to come to SFU?

West Coast is an environment that intrigues me.

Tell us about your research and/or program.

I studied sediment from the bottom of lake for pollen and charcoal to better understand how our land management decisions affect the ecology of the area surrounding the lake.

What are you particularly enjoying about your studies/research at SFU?

Professors and fieldwork.

Describe your program for those searching.

Resource and Environmental Management (REM) is a program with top-notch professors that get you out of your academic comfort zone and get you to ask the big questions.

Do you have any advice for students?

Take a class that is out of your comfort zone.
