Tamara Pearl

THERAPIST & EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPIST

Tamara is a Phd student in the Faculty of Education at SFU. Her research interests include how to cultivate healing responses to wrongdoing. She is a therapist and expressive arts therapist, and adjunct faculty at Adler University in the Masters of Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy program. She has been involved in cross cultural dialogue for many years: as a board member for 4 years of Peace it Together which brought Israeli, Palestinian, and Canadian youth together to dialogue and make films in BC; as a community engagement lead at Reconciliation Canada where she organized and co-facilitated dialogue workshops for Aboriginal and other Canadian leaders; and as the Vice President of the Daniel Pearl Foundation, which promotes mutual respect and understanding among diverse cultures through journalism, music and dialogue.
