Claire Patterson has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Dialogue from Simon Fraser University. She has spent time working and volunteering for organizations that focus on making topics such as environmentalism, civic engagement, democracy and digital literacy accessible through innovative multimedia and storytelling. She is interested in the future of journalism in democracy and ways to achieve a more equitable future through shifting public narratives. She has published stories that focus on youth perspectives of climate issues, urban planning, renewable energy and dialogue. Work that she has done can be seen on outlets such as the CBC and the National Observer. Claire is currently based in Amsterdam and is pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam’s Graduate School of Communication Science.
