The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated many existing inequities and surfaced new barriers for members of the disability community in Canada.
Join us for a panel discussion and Q&A exploring some of the challenges faced by members of the disability community, and how disability rights can be upheld to foster equity in our COVID-19 policy responses, featuring:
- Jewelles Smith (Chairperson of the Council of Canadians with Disabilities and PhD Candidate),
- Miles Stratholt (Senior Policy Analyst, Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training),
- Heather Walkus (Human Rights Advocate and co-founder of The Coalition of People Who Use Guide and Service Dogs in Canada) and
- Eileen Davidson (patient advocate and Ambassador for the Arthritis Society).
