Wade Lifton on Saying Yes to Less in our Everyday Lives
The Vancouver Sun has published an op-ed by SFU Dialogue student Wade Lifton. Lifton’s article discusses the consequences comfort and covienence as a result of modern technology. He advocates that living with less will lead to happier and healthier lives.
“On a rainy day we might head to the art gallery to be absorbed in Emily Carr's abundant
interpretations of green, blue and brown. Trees, mountains and water define who we are in BritishColumbia.
We also love comfort and convenience. It's hard to imagine living without airplanes, tropical
fruits or disposable packaging, even though the extent to which we indulge in these is assaulting the natural beauty we love"
