Crisis on campus: Public dialogue event
Simon Fraser University’s Semester in Dialogue is pleased to invite you to a critical conversation, “Crisis on Campus?” a public dialogue about mental health services on post-secondary campuses. We strongly believe your voice will contribute great value and impact to the discussion.
SFU’s Semester in Dialogue brings together innovative and diverse university students to encourage our passion for improving society. As changemakers, we believe dialogue is a particularly powerful tool to expand our collective understanding around student mental health.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to share your experiences and ideas on the many challenges and solutions surrounding this important issue. The “Crisis on Campus” dialogue will explore the current state of student mental health and strategies for the future. Participants will come from the many post-secondary institutions in BC and will include students, wellness leaders, academics, staff and other interested stakeholders.
Following the dialogue, we will prepare a report with the major themes and ideas that surfaced. The report will be accessible to university decision makers and all participants to use as a source of inspiration for improving mental health on campuses. We hope this dialogue will help us gain a collective understanding of the current state of mental health on campuses and identify potential solutions.
