2. Geol. 1210 – Earth Through Time. 8 th edition. Levin

Enrollment: Enrollment was lower overall in the department and the college. Geology 1210 was held on the Surrey campus, due to a last minute change, with lower enrollment (10/30) than previous years.

Initiatives: 1. Advertising, posters for Geology 1210 continued.

2. Geography of Natural fall of 2008 (14/30). A third year (lab science) course. Transfer to other institutions as such. Enrollment/interest was lower than expected.

Issues/Other: 1. Students are still taking Geog 1120 and Geol 1210 as a science requirement and alternate to chemistry, biology and physics.

2. Increased interest in earth science as a viable career. APEGBC websites given out!

3. Some students (4) have had success getting jobs through Roundup and others

Transfers: As I recall, 2 Geology courses requested transferability to Kwantlen in 2007-2008 from other institutions outside of Canada (USA).

Two first year courses: Both given full credit as GEOG 1120.
