Freshwater Resources Risk Assessment in Coastal Deltas
Over 340 million people living in coastal deltas around the world rely on fresh surface and groundwater resources to maintain everyday life. Current and future freshwater resources in these regions are at risk of salinization induced by climate change, urbanization, and relative sea level rise. This study aims to understand the mechanisms controlling saline contamination and assess which deltas are most at risk of freshwater depletion.
