OPEN POSITIONS
USRA: Nicholas Schmitt
Prof. Nicolas Schmitt is looking for an undergraduate research assistant to digitize data from historical documents, as well as to organize and to analyze this data.
The RAship will be supported in part by the USRA so please read the eligibility criteria carefully to ensure you meet all of the requirements before applying.
DURATION
Part-time (17.5 hours/week) for 16 weeks from May 2024 to August 2024 with possibility of extension. Working remotely is possible.
QUALIFICATIONS
Willing to investigate and to learn methods to digitize documents beyond standard software packages and to manipulate data sets. Students in any year are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get some entry-level RA experience. Being comfortable with data manipulation and analysis is essential; knowledge of the French language is an asset.
RATE
$18/hour; 17.5 hours/week

USRA: David Freeman
Prof. David Freeman is looking for an undergraduate research assistant with experience to assist in programming and conducting economic experiments over the internet. This work is part of a research agenda to advance our understanding of economic decision-making.

DURATION
Full-time (preferred)/Part-time from May 2024 to April 2025. Please indicate in your application which semesters you are able to work (you don’t need to be able to work all of them).
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful applicant will either (i) have demonstrated web programming experience (e.g. a computing science student; Python, Django, Javascript) or (ii) have substantial interest in economics experiments and a willingness and ability to develop the needed expertise in web programming before starting. Students in any year are encouraged to apply, especially those who may be interested in pursuing a graduate degree. Only applicants with GPA of 3.6 and higher will be considered.
RATE
$16.75/hour at 17.5 hrs/week (part-time); OR, 35 hrs/week (full-time)
