The year of the dog

Print

During my statistics course, I would bring my dog to class. He would lie beside me during the lecture.

After a week or two, he got used to the timing and would shut up at quarter past the hour in anticipation.

After another week, when the dog sat up, the professor would check his watch, and then start to close the lecture.

Another two weeks and the professor stopped checking his watch and just used the dog for his timing.

At the end of the semester, the dog received a certificate of completion for the course.

How things have changed.
