One of the primary purposes of CELS is to engage in and support research that relates to law related education and legal literacy.

Our most recent research has focused on cyber bullying and the implications for law, curriculum and education policy presented by this rapidly evolving social and educational issue.

Additionally, we recently completed a project on legal literacy with a research component investigating the levels of legal literacy of grades 6 to 10 students. The research also investigated the perceptions of legal literacy held by teachers working with those students.
