International Education

Committed to international and intercultural knowledge, understanding and engagement, the Faculty of Education's Office of International Education provides support and advice to the Faculty of Education primarily in the areas of:

  • International partnerships
  • Customized program delivery
  • Pre-departure preparation (risk management, international effectiveness and adaptation)
  • Post-program debriefing and impact assessments
  • Program promotion and recruitment

This includes the International Teacher Education Modules, recruitment and retention of international students, and various partnership and exchange activities.

The Office also collaborates with universities and governments from around the world to provide customized programs for teachers, student teachers, and educational leaders.

Internationalization of higher education is the intentional process of integrating an international, intercultural or global dimension into the purpose, functions and delivery of post-secondary education, in order to enhance the quality of education and research for all students and staff and to make a meaningful contribution to society.
