Curriculum & Instruction: Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw MEd - Fall 2019

OVERVIEW

This two-year degree program is designed for leaders within the Squamish Nations, representing diverse educational settings.

Students in this cohort program will:

  • situate their learning in a community of practice and engage with peers in a cohort. 
  • incorporate the local Squamish knowledge holders and cultural carriers that can connect us to Squamish traditions and knowledge making practices grounded in local traditions and strategies. 
  • engage in collaborative practices, including group research, writing, and  presentations.

Ideally suited for

Members of the Squamish Nation who are currently employed in Advanced Education and Training positions within the community.

Other applicants outside this membership may be considered.

  • Start Term: Fall 2019 (September)
  • End Term: Summer 2021
  • Application Status: Closed
  • Tuition 2019/20*: $3,028.49/term
    *Subject to estimated 2% fee increase each September.
