I'm a thirty-one year old, soon to be parent, who has been a Teacher since 2006 (UBC, B.Ed.).  I have an undergraduate degree from UFV, and have been a practicing teacher since 2006, and in Surrey since 2008.

Please tell us why you chose the Faculty of Education at SFU for your studies.
I chose SFU because it provided me the opportunity to study in Surrey, and as someone who doesn't enjoy commuting, this was important to me.

Who is a faculty member you have enjoyed working with and why?
Kumari Beck and Wanda Cassidy. They are non-judgmental, and provide a safe and provocative learning environment.

What inspires you to learn and continue your education?
Learning allows doors to be opened.

What would you say to prospective students who are considering graduate school in the Faculty of Education?
The opportunities that it provides you will be worth the struggle.
