Thesis: A conversation-gesture approach to recognizing mathematical understanding in group problem solving (teaching from the sidelines)
I completed my MSc in Secondary Mathematics Education in August 2009. My area of interest was in initializing thinking in students, and in trying to develop ways to get students started on mathematical problems. I am also interested in incorporating history and historical figures into teaching as a way to make mathematics more approachable and meaningful. I'm interested in developing these ideas further.
