Seven students from the French Module in the Professional Development Program have recently returned from a unique educational experience as part of the first "Module International en Éducation en Langue française" (MIEL). The student teachers, accompanied by SFU Faculty Associate Daphné Roberts and supported by Faculty Member Cécile Sabatier, spent five weeks studying and working in public school classrooms in Bamako, Mali, in West Africa. SFU works in partnership in Bamako with teachers, administrators and teacher educators of the Malian Ministry of Education to ensure a safe, positive learning experience for BC's future teachers in MIEL.
