Nintendogs and Brainwave Journey
Recently Dr. David Kaufman has conducted two different research projects on two very different video games with both projects revealing fascinating results that can benefit children of various ages.
Together with Lily Tsai, a PhD student in the Faculty of Education, Dr. Kaufman set out to discover if empathy can be developed towards animals by playing with virtual dogs on Nintendo DS. Watch the video.
Dr. Kaufman, in collaboration with Dr. Stephen Campbell and MA student Xin Du, used a video game that responds to bio-feedback to help individuals learn to focus.
