Low achieving students blossomed during video assignment

The Vancouver Sun reported that "SFU Education professor Özlem Sensoy discovered that low-achieving Grade 7 students at one suburban Vancouver school blossomed when given an assignment to use video to express their concepts of racism, sexism, classism and gender discrimination." Full story here.

Özlem Sensoy presented one of the videos from the assignment along with the results of her research at last Saturday's session at the annual AERA (American Educational Research Association) meeting.
