Celebrating 10 years of ACDE Accords in Education

Currently comprised of 63 members including deans – including SFU Faculty of Education Dean, Kris Magnusson– directors and chairs of education in Canadian universities and university-colleges, the Association of Canadian Deans of Education (ACDE) is committed to pan-Canadian leadership in professional and teacher education, educational research, and policy in post-secondary institutions.

ACDE’s main commitment is to address the importance of educational policy and practice across Canada. The association established Accords to help create positive change in public education in five areas – Initial Teacher Education, Indigenous Education, Research in Education, Early Learning and Early Childhood Education and Internationalization of Education.
