Applying to SFU’s teacher education programs is about to get easier
Becoming a teacher in British Columbia just got a little easier thanks to a new application system being introduced by the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University.
The new system will simplify the application process for thousands of aspiring teachers applying to the Faculty’s professional teacher education programs each year.
The Professional Development Program’s Manager of Admissions and Recruitment, Suzanne Norman, says the new system will be used for the Faculty’s five professional teacher education programs, including the long-standing PDP.
“We’re excited about some of the more user-friendly design and features. It won’t just improve the applicant experience, it will also help to streamline our review process,” says Norman.
The new system’s official launch will coincide with the opening of the applications on October 1, 2020.
