Celebration Lunch for Dr. Phil Winne, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

The Dean hosted a lunch to honour Dr. Phil Winne who was elected as Fellow to the Academy of Social Sciences by the Royal Society of Canada. Recognition by the RSC is Canada’s highest academic honour. For more information visit:

Faculty of Education Festive Lunch

Dr. O'Neill attended the Faculty’s Festive Lunch and announced the 2019 faculty and staff award recipients. Congratulations to our six award winners: Nancy Green (Lifetime Achievement), Dr. Ching-Chiu Lin (Dean of Education Distinguished Service Award for Work Performance), David Zheng (Team Building Award), Dr. Sean Chorney (Excellence in Scholarly Teaching), Elina Birmingham (Excellence in the Supervision of a Graduate Student Thesis), Dr. Özlem Sensoy (Distinguished Contributions to Scholarship in Education). Visit to Coquitlam School District Office

The Dean visited the Coquitlam School District Office with Dr. Paul Neufeld, Director of Professional Programs and Janice St. Helene, Associate Director of Professional Programs to meet with Assistant Superintendent, Carey Chute and Principal of Facilities Management, Devon Ross and other staff to discuss opportunities for collaboration related to the new Neighbourhood Learning Centre in Coquitlam.
