Action
After collecting and analyzing their Educational Goals assessment data, academic units should develop a set of actions to implement any improvements or revisions to their programs, or modifications to their Educational Goals, based on the results of their data analysis. Results from this analysis and actions should be articulated in the mid-cycle reporting requirement of the External Review process.
Proposed actions
Proposed actions may address changes both large and small in areas such as the following:
- Curriculum
- Course content
- Degree requirements
- Course offerings
- Assignments, student testing and feedback
- Definitions of Educational Goals
- Educational Goals assessment processes
What happens after action?
The Educational Goals Assessment Cycle is a dynamic, iterative process which is future-oriented. After the Action phase, Educational Goals should be reevaluated and redefined if necessary, and the process begins again.
