Kaitlin Thompson

Kaitlin grew up in Toronto and received a Bachelor's degree with honours from the University of Waterloo in Environment and Business, with a minor in Economics. During her undergraduate degree she held several co-op positions working on environmental management issues within federal and provincial governments, as well as the private sector. After graduating, Kaitlin worked in the green building industry in Toronto, and later the energy conservation sector, where she coordinated the delivery of a natural gas conservation program for low-income people across Ontario. Kaitlin is interested in how climate policy can drive energy pathways towards decarbonisation, and in the role of nature-based solutions in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Kaitlin loves being outside (especially in the mountains!), and in her spare time can be found exploring everything that beautiful BC has to offer.
