Students wishing to declare a major, minor, or honours in English should seek advice from the department student advisor.

During the first three weeks of classes, advising will be restricted to enrolment issues and no appointments are available. General program and plan advising will be available beginning week four.

Student Responsibility

Each student is responsible for being aware of and fulfilling the requirements as set out in the calendar; advisors are available to help students understand and follow the regulations. The Student Services Academic Advising office, located in the Maggie Benston Student Services Centre (3200), provides a range of academic services, including program advice, copies of transcripts, library cards, and registration information.

Health & Counselling / Career Services

SFU Health & Counselling and Career Services are located in the Maggie Benston Student Services Centre (0300), and are available for personal counselling, vocational counselling, and as a career resource centre. This service helps students who are unsure about personal and career goals.
