Field Technician (River Dynamics Laboratory)

The River Dynamics Laboratory at Simon Fraser University, working in collaboration with Fraser River Environmental Watch, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Canada seeks a full-time field technician working on a project examining the impacts of landslides on channel morphology, flow dynamics, and fish passage in the Fraser River system.  Duties include maintaining a network of cameras and water level sensors at the Big Bar Landslide, expanding the camera network to other sites to be identified in the Fraser Canyon, building and maintaining a data archive, field surveys, and drone flights.

Minimum qualifications include:

1) A BSc in Geoscience or Biology (MSc is preferred)

2) Some experience working with scientific instrumentation

3) Canadian Drivers Licence
