Gordon M. Shrum Gold Medal: Amnit Litt

Amnit Litt is the winner of the Gordon M. Shrum Gold Medal, awarded to the SFU student who earned a BA with high scholastic standing while participating in extra-curricular activities and demonstrating outstanding qualities of character and unselfish devotion to SFU.

Ms. Litt completed a BA Honours degree with an Economics Major and Mathematics Minor. In addition to a superb academic performance in areas known for “tough” grading, she also made numerous service contributions at the Student Learning Commons and at SFU orientation.

Robert C. Brown Award: Nicholas Paruzzolo Bordignon

Nicholas Paruzzolo Bordignon is the winner of the 2014 Robert C. Brown Award, which recognizes a FASS student for outstanding academic achievement combined with outstanding leadership.

Mr. Bordignon completed a BA Criminology Major degree with a Certificate in Police Studies, and in addition to his outstanding academic achievements, he is also a leader in volunteer activities on behalf of his fellow students in Criminology, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the SFU student body.

The two winners of the 2014 Dean’s Undergraduate Convocation Medals are Aleksandra Besan (International Studies Major) and Jessica Moloney (Psychology Major with a Minor in Counselling and Human Development).

Convocation Medals recognize academic achievement and are given to two graduating students at spring convocation.

Both Besan and Moloney are noted for their excellent grades and outstanding extra-curricular service activities within SFU and beyond.
