79-year-old Meg Penner Graduates with a Master’s in Humanities

It’s degree number five for 79-year-old Meg Penner, who graduates with a master’s in humanities on June 10.
And if there’s one thing she has learned in a lifetime at school, it’s that “age doesn’t matter when exchanging ideas and talking. It’s your ideas that are crisscrossing with your classmates.”
You may ask why five degrees but it’s simple, says Penner, who first graduated from SFU in 1975 with a bachelor of arts (honours) in history.
