Recognized nationally as one of Canada's most prestigious awards for women, the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards honour women whose outstanding achievements contribute to the well-being and future of our community. The award cites Olewiler for her record of teaching and mentorship as well as for her role as a policy influencer: “As one of a handful of women economists on boards and at policy tables, Nancy is helping to change the face of public policy locally, provincially, and nationally.”
