Future: Ready is a free, three-part series for SFU FASS students hosted once per term. Each series is designed to guide you to:

  • gain clarity about what’s important to you and how you want to show up in the world
  • discover more career-life options
  • create action plans to make informed decisions about your future

Session One: Getting Started

September 21 (11:30am - 12:30pm)

Location: Academic Quadrangle (AQ) 6106

You’ll discover insights about yourself – your values, interests, strengths and personal qualities and more – the essential bits of data to aid you in figuring out HOW you want to be in the world. You’ll also generate new career ideas.

Session Two: Connecting the dots

September 28 (11:30am-12:30am)

Location: AQ 6106

You’ll prioritize what is important to you and craft a document that will act like a compass and set you up for creating, recognizing and acting on opportunities to move forward.

Session Three: Taking action and moving forward

October 5 (11:30am - 12:30pm)

Location: AQ 6106

You’ll develop a personalized and concrete action plans to move you in the direction of the different career-life options that you are most attracted to; facilitating informed, confident decisions.

When you register you are enrolling in all three in person sessions in AQ 6106. Each session builds on the previous one and must be attended in sequence. There is an additional half hour after the session the host will stay in the space to answer participant inquiries.
