Academic advising helps you make important decisions about your academic career and your professional future. Our goal is to help you find the right path and to provide you with the tools you need to navigate the university, its departments and its programs.
At SFU, different levels of academic advising are available to you.

Academic advising for first and second year students
(less than 60 units completed)

If you have declared your major, please contact your department advisor.

Drop-in advising for undeclared students with more than 60 units completed and students pursuing a BA with two minors:

            Monday to Thursday,  9:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Academic advising for FASS One and students taking courses in Surrey

At SFU Surrey, FASS offers you a special first-year experience with the FASS One program.

You may also choose to take some courses in the Surrey campus or pursue a Surrey-based program in Criminology.
