Immerse Yourself in Virtual Reality

From PlayStation VR, to Oculus Rift and Google Daydream, Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality technologies (xR) allow us to reimagine and design experiences in ways that bridge the gaps between physical and digital spaces.

In Spring 2019, FCAT is partnering with the Centre for Dialogue to bring you A Semester in Alternate Realties, a full-time 15-credit (three 5-credit courses) offering that is aimed at addressing real-world problems using xR technologies and documented reflection.

A Semester in Alternate Realities is a project-based course that aims to bring people together from different disciplines to work collaboratively and reflect on the impact these future technologies will have on the world. Students will have the opportunity to work on their public speaking skills, engage with cutting edge research, learn from industry professionals from fields such as healthcare, business and entertainment, and exhibit their design projects in a public showcase.
