Job Opportunity - Research Assistant, Monitoring SFU's Internal Governing Bodiea

Hello Graduate Students!

Your Graduate Student Society is looking to hire a Research Assistant - Monitoring SFU’s Internal Governing Bodies, who will be responsible to research, collate and analyze the university’s most important internal governing bodies, including the Board of Governors, Senate, and other key committees, as well as all policies, regulations, and terms of reference connected to them. The holder of the position will also be expected to develop a roadmap to assist the GSS in monitoring and influencing these governing bodies as efficiently as possible.

This is a temporary, part-time position (total of 200 hours, January - August 2021), that will be reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with elected student directors on GSS's Executive Committee. Candidates should have research or work experience in governance matters within large institutions or public policy (or both).
