Part II - Multi-criteria evaluation and Weighted Linear  Combination

    Multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) was used to give suitability ratings to each of the four health indicators.  Values of 255 were assigned to those criteria having a high suitability for good health and values of zero were assigned to those values having low suitability.  These factors were then given weighted values  (see weight module below).  Income was weighted the highest as it influences health status greatly.  MCE was then run using the Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) option.  The constraint used in this operation was the buffered park image showing areas within 2km of a park (see last park image in part 1 ).  The results obtained from the WLC were acceptable as the consistency ratio was 0.04 (module results are below).
