GIS Day 2014 Invitation and Lightning Talks

November 19, 2014

We are pleased to extend an invitation for everyone to participate in SFU GIS Day 2014 which will be held on November 19th, 2014 in the SFU Library Research Commons. Various activities have been planned. For registration and more information please see:

http://www.lib.sfu.ca/node/12834.

During the GIS Day we are organizing a Lightning Talks event for graduate students. The goal is to create opportunities to share research, practice presentations, and have conversations on a variety of GIS-related themes. We aim to capture a wide cross-section of GIS practitioners. A Lightning Talks event features up to 10 theme-based presentations (each under 5 minutes). Audience and presenters are invited to enjoy snacks and refreshments.

Graduate students are invited to submit a Lightning Talks abstract. The submission form is available at:
http://www.lib.sfu.ca/research-commons/lightning-talks

Presenters will be finalized by October 20th, 2014.

We look forward to your participation.
