Speaking Out in Public Spaces

The Department of Geography invites you to a panel discussion on “Speaking Out in Public Spaces”, on Monday June 6th, 2016, 16:30-18:00 at SFU Harbour Centre Campus, Room 1800.

Panelists include five Vancouver activists: Janine Fuller, Gwen Howart, Pat Hogan, Jamie-Lee Hamilton and Ellen Woodsworth.  This panel will be moderated by students from GEOG 489 (Queer Geography), a course in which students are invited to consider the location, nature, and definition of queer space, its history, memories, events and subcultures, and the relationship between space and social justice.
