Geography students win top two prizes in the SFU GIS Day 2015 map competition

Geography students Mansoureh Rameshk and Franz Schug won the top two prizes in the SFU GIS Day 2015 map competition. The competition was organized by the Bennett Library Research Commons and the Esri Canada Center of Excellence within Geography. Mansoureh's first place map showed the impacts of climate-induced flooding in Surrey, BC, Canada. Franz's second place map showed deforestation and poverty in Brazil. Both winners received a monetary reward for their efforts. Congratulations to both of our winners!!
