GEOG 111 - Earth Systems

Exploring some of the outside spaces around Burnaby Mountain in this course allows experience in position finding using maps, compass and GPS, weather measurements using specialized thermometers, and investigations into campus use of solar power. These activities are focused on helping you live the experience of a physical geographer as they engage with the landscape around them. This course is recommended to students interested in geography, earth and environmental science, water science, natural resource management, weather and climate, and anyone who wants to know more about the environments in which they live.
