GEOG 241 - Social Geography

Students in GEOG 241 go beyond studying geography to becoming geographers. Students are provided with an opportunity to critically engage the theoretical and spatial approaches explored in the course and connect these to real world geographies by conducting two “Doing Geography” fieldwork assignments in downtown Vancouver which afford students an opportunity to advance their spatial awareness, research design skills, and geographic writing skills by designing, conducting, and revising fieldwork, building a foundation for success in upper level geography courses.
