Student Profile: Ahmad Movahedian Attar
Graduate student in Business
Ahmad is a science-based entrepreneur. He has worked with many startups in several managerial disciplines. He has recently exited his precious venture, Telewebion, the largest IPTV/ OTT service in Iran. Ahmad has recently launched ClearAd, his new startup in British Columbia, and joined SFU to study the value proposition and business model of ClearAd in accordance with the Canadian standards.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?
SFU provided me with a unique opportunity to wrap up my education and working experiences during the science and technology commercialization program at Beedie School of Business. Beedie is a highly prestigious world-level leading business school with a dynamic learning and teaching environment.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
i2I program walks science-based entrepreneurs through the evolutionary journey of their venture all the way from an academic invention into an innovative business.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
SFU has a unique atmosphere of collaborative learning. Furthermore, SFU is a multicultural university, and there are a lot of students here with a variety of cultural backgrounds. SFU’s campus is home to several faculties, departments, schools, and programs. All these qualities have made so far my learning journey at SFU so valuable and priceless.
