International Studies master's student in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
I am a well-rounded, multi-skilled individual with substantial academic and professional experience in business, media, and the creative arts. I am concerned about global development and want to contribute to solving global issues, particularly those that affect the African continent.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?
After earning a master's degree in economic affairs from the University of Bordeaux in France, my ambition was to enroll in a multidisciplinary research-based programme that would allow me to gain a deeper understanding of global development, foreign policy, and state failure. As a result, I was relieved to find a master's degree in International Studies at SFU that aligned with my objectives. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study from seasoned lecturers who are well-known experts with extensive knowledge of the African region.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
The master's in International Studies at SFU is a research-based degree that teaches students how to comprehend and solve complex global issues. The program is administered by highly recognized professors across the globe is the field of international studies.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
The program's structure and the type of course delivery assist students in developing capacity. Faculty members are highly helpful and supportive, and they will be there for you at every step of your academic journey. I am also impressed by the atmosphere on the various campuses, as well as the various academic and general well-being supports available to students.

I am a recipient of a Graduate Fellowship Award and a Graduate Entrance Scholarship. These awards have been incredibly beneficial in paying my graduate studies, as well as easing my financial load of living and studying in an expensive city like Vancouver.
