I am an engineer-designer on a mission to create happiness with my designs, trying to innovate ways on how software can improve peoples’ lives. I do whatever needs to be done for the team to deliver successful products.
In a span of 5 years, I have designed (Concept>Plan>Develop>Iterate>Launch>Measure) and managed digital media products (AR/VR, responsive web apps, microsites) by leading the teams of senior UI/ UX designers, developers, and business analysts. Have worked across versatile markets of E-Commerce, IoT, Automotive sector, Career Platforms, and Air Purifier companies in B2B and B2C markets.
For longer goals, my mission is to solve problems in health, illiteracy, and climate change via digital media using AI and VR technology.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?

Studying at Simon Fraser University, I wanted to have an acquaintance with international cultures, markets, design methods and practices that will equip me to communicate with an audience beyond the boundaries of my own country. Consequently, it will help me realise my goal of becoming, not just a successful artist, but a successful communicator, acting as a catalyst for change; a 'Mind-Bender.' I wish to augment my learnings through a comprehensive curriculum that will not only groom my intellectual skills but will also develop the groundings needed in related business disciplines to strengthen my candidature for design consulting roles. In addition, the thriving professional network of SFU’s alumni working in the consulting space and significant campus placement opportunities on campus, all augur well for my aspirations.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR RESEARCH AND/OR PROGRAM.

The Master of Digital Media (MDM) program designed to teach core user-centered research, interaction design, user experience and interface programming skills is directly relevant to my aspirations.

WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?

The MDM program is a treasure box of the SFU. Inside the box, I can find all the professional communication and collaboration skills you need in the future. This program is giving me a significant boost in speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills, covering multiple dimensions of digital media, so so that I can kill it in the job market.
