I love spending time with my son and partner, especially doing things outside - hiking, camping, paddle boarding.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?
I did my undergraduate degree at SFU and had a positive experience, and wanted to continue my studies with SFU.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?
My focus is digital soil mapping - so it combines soil science with spatial information science. I'm particularly interested in the spatial distribution of carbon in BC's soils.
WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT SFU?
I'm always learning and being challenged - and I really enjoy how open and willing to share their knowledge everyone is.
HAVE YOU BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF ANY MAJOR OR DONOR-FUNDED AWARDS? IF SO, PLEASE TELL US WHICH ONES AND A LITTLE ABOUT HOW THE AWARDS HAVE IMPACTED YOUR STUDIES AND/OR RESEARCH.
