I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of French and in the Faculty of Education. My research interests include queer and critical pedagogies, LGBTQ2+ education, queer theory, critical discourse analysis, as well as cultural and social constructions of identity in French and Francophone literature, film, and visual media. My dissertation aims to empower LGBTQ2+ adolescents through the implementation of a multimodal queer-based pedagogy in the context of French Immersion high school classrooms.
