Grant Awarded for supporting Student Well-being

January 2014

SFU is one of 29 institutions, and the only Canadian institution, awarded grant funding from Bringing Theory to Practice, an organization affiliated with the American Association of College and Universities.  This funding will allow SFU Health Promotion to explore how SFU’s faculty and department-level practices, policies, and curricular strategies can foster student well-being and psychosocial development.  Considering systemic supports for student well-being is an integral part of creating a healthy campus community.  This work will build on momentum created through the Well-being in Learning Environments project which focuses on the classroom setting, and was also initiated through Bringing Theory to Practice funding in 2012.
