Temperature is one of the first things that people notice upon entering a room.  When temperature deviates from comfortable levels it results in complaints due to discomfort as well as distracted behaviors. Excessive heat in particular is a well-documented environmental irritant that negatively impacts mood and the ability to focus.

  • If a room is noticeably too hot or cold, contact Facilities Services in order to adjust the temperature if possible.
  • Try to choose rooms with operable windows and/or an adjustable thermostat.
  • If possible, open the windows in order to maintain a comfortable temperature particularly during the warmer months.
