I received my PhD in History from Concordia University. My dissertation, “’The Dynamics of the Disc’: Ultimate (Frisbee), Community, and Memory, 1968-2011” is an oral history project and cultural study of the sport of Ultimate in Canada. Before coming to SFU I taught courses in Canadian, American, and women’s history at universities in Montreal, Halifax, and New Brunswick.
