History Department says goodbye to Ruth Anderson, welcomes new Graduate & Chair's Secretary
Just prior to closing for the holidays the Department of History said goodbye to Ruth Anderson, our long-serving Graduate Program Assistant and Chair's Secretary. Over fifty friends, family and colleagues gathered online (via Zoom) to give Ruth a proper & heartfelt send-off. A well-known animal lover, Ruth never hesitated to house sit a department pet that was in need of company while their owners were away. Part of Ruth's send-off included a "pet roll-call' with department members showing off a whole variety of furry friends (and captured in the photo collage above).
Ruth's duties have been taken up by Aali Mirjat, a former graduate student in History who graduated with his MA in the summer of 2018. Since graduating, Aali has served as the graduate program assistant in the Department of Political Science. Welcome to the History Department, Aali!
The emails for the Graduate Program Assistant & Chair's Secretary have not changed, and can be found on the 'Contact Us' page.
