Recreation is a unique community of students, staff, faculty and the public connected by active living and leadership development. The SFU Recreation Codes of Conduct are in place to create an environment that is safe, friendly, and inclusive for everyone.
These general rules apply to all facilities, services, and programs associated with SFU Recreation. Specific codes of conduct exist for the Fitness Centre, Aquatic Centre, and Recreation Sport program.
Membership and participation with SFU Recreation is a privilege. All members and participants are expected to:
- Treat all staff, facilities, and equipment with respect.
- Act with courtesy and integrity while respecting the rights, welfare, and dignity of other members and participants.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures set by the department and the university while using the facilities, services and programs.
- Act in a safe and responsible manner regarding themselves and others.
Members or participants violating University or Recreation policies may have their Membership or Day Pass privileges revoked.
